Amboseli, Kenya
Six tented suites on a private conservancy, with open-sided views across the Amboseli plains.

Africa's highest peak on the horizon, framed from your deck at first light.

King bed, hardwood floors, hot water and a private veranda under canvas.

A resident chef cooks three courses each night, produce driven and local.
Safari bucket showers and indoor rain heads, both running hot on demand.

Morning and evening drives with a guide who tracks the Amboseli herds.
The camp is a base, not the whole trip: the dry lake, hidden springs, rock viewpoints, our Maasai neighbours, or a quiet spot to watch Kilimanjaro arrive.
Big elephant herds, plains game and Kilimanjaro at a hidden spring
Cross the Amboseli dry lake to a natural spring where dry-season herds gather in remarkable numbers. It is one of the best places to try for the classic shot of elephants with Kilimanjaro behind them. Bring a towel for a swim.
A late-afternoon adventure across the plains
A 40-minute drive across the dry lake or the higher ground, often with plenty of plains game and, with luck, lion or cheetah. On arrival, an easy-to-moderate climb opens wide views toward Tanzania, with a small Maasai settlement close by.
Share food, fire and stories with a Maasai family
Spend an afternoon or evening with the Nketuma family around a traditional goat barbecue, hearing about Maasai food, customs and daily life. Not a staged show, just time with a local family. It can also be prepared for you at camp.
Sometimes the simplest experiences are the best
Walk 10 to 15 minutes, or take a short drive, to the edge of the dry lake, where the land opens into a huge panorama toward Kilimanjaro. Take coffee for sunrise or drinks after 5pm, with zebra and wildebeest on the lake bed below.
Explore the heart of Amboseli
Set aside a full day: in through Meshanani Gate, across the dry lake to Ol Tukai and the swamps that feed the ecosystem, for elephant, buffalo, hippo and birdlife under Kilimanjaro. The areas west of the main swamp stay quieter.
Outpost sits on the Kitirua Conservancy, on the western edge of Amboseli National Park, with Kilimanjaro on the horizon.
